Welcome to Clarivy

Hi, I'm Max. I run a small design and development studio, and for years I ran it the same way most freelancers do: from memory, a stack of sticky notes, and whatever spreadsheet I last remembered to update.

That worked, mostly, right up until it didn't. A client I'd forgotten to follow up with. A quote I never chased. A quiet month I could have seen coming if I'd been looking at the right numbers instead of just feeling busy.

The problem isn't a lack of tools

If anything, there are too many. CRMs built for sales teams with pipelines you don't need. Project management tools that want you to break every task into subtasks. Spreadsheets that work until they don't, and then quietly fall apart the moment two clients need the same kind of attention at once.

None of them were built for someone running a business of one — someone who gets work through referrals and relationships, not cold outreach, and who needs a clear view of what's actually happening, not another system to feed.

What Clarivy is instead

Clarivy is the boardroom view for your business of one: flexible databases for the way you actually work, business analytics that tell you what's really going on, and recurring reports so you're not the only thing holding the picture together.

It's not trying to replace your invoicing tool or turn you into a sales org. It's trying to do one thing well: give you visibility into your own business, without asking you to run it any differently than you already do.

Why I'm building this in public

I'm building Clarivy the same way I'd want to use it — out in the open, with the people who'll actually use it involved from the start. If you've ever lost track of a client, a quote, or a quiet month you should have seen coming, this is for you.
